Berlin, Germany

April 11, 2011                                                                                               10:27 pm
Heyy its Alexis,
This week I had to do the race by myself again. 1st I flew from Kona, Hawaii to Berlin, Germany. 2nd I had to find the world’s tallest church it was called the Ulm Minister. It was 161.9 meters high and had 786 stairs. 3rd I had to make the church with cubes the number of cubes was 32. 4th I had to go to the King Ludwig II castle that was used in the movie “Sleeping Beauty”. 5th I had to drive on the “Auto Bahn” highway.6th I had to find the ingredients to a “Black Forest Cake”. This is because Germany is very famous for “Black Forest Cake”.7th I was suppose to eat a piece of “Black Forest Cake” but I couldn’t because I am lactose intolerance. So I took a 2 hour delay. 8th next I had to find out who or what “Checkpoint Charlie (Checkpoint C)” was. It is the place where most people tried to escape to West Germany from East Germany, and is where most people got killed by snipers on the towers and on the bridge. 9th I went to the hotel and stayed the night.
Some other things I did are:
1.      Went to Germany’s oldest zoo
2.      Went to the “Pergammon Museum”
3.      Went to the Berlin Radisson Hotel” with the world’s biggest aquarium
That is all I did in Berlin Germany. Have to go. Bye bye.
Peace out,
Alexis

8th in Hawaii

After our 9 hour flight to Hawaii our first challenge was to find out the name of  of the location Japan attacked in the morning of December 7, 1941. Then we had to play some battleship which we got stuck on and lost our place. We then had to find out the name of the volcano goddess ( Pele the fire goddess). After we had to find out how many vowels and consonants are in the Hawaiian alphabet we had to pronounce "The Likelike" highway. 7 clue we had to travel by boat to the main island of Hawaii Honolulu. We had to choose one of two challenges in our next clue and then check into the Pink Palace of the Pacific to finish.

Here try it: http://www.teamrandy.com/games/battleships/batleships.html .  4th I went to the goddess of volcanoes and it was called Pele. 5th I learned the Hawaiian alphabet it is a,e,i,o,u, for the vowels and h,k,l,m,n,p,w for the consonants. 6th there was a “fast forward”. But I passed it up and Team NBA got it. But now they can’t use it again. 7th I traveled by boat the Honolulu. 8th was a “detour” there was coloring and hula hooping I chose hula hooping, since I chose hula hooping I passed 3 other teams. Whoa! Last but not least I stayed at “The Pink Palace Of The Pacific”.
Some other things I did in Hawaii are:

March 22, 2011                                                                                                 9:31am

Heyy, its Alexis loser here I am going to tell you about our trip to Athens, Greece. First we had to fly from Toronto, Ontario to Athens, Greece. After we got off the plane we started the race. We had to find the largest temple in Greece and go to it if we were wanted to save time and we did. The temple is called Olympian Zues. Then we went to watch a wrestling match called “pankration” the only rules are: no eye gouging or biting. We went to the Olympics to get train but only one person could do it so I did. I got it on my first try! Yeah! After we went to get trained how to play the “boyzouki” it was pretty cool. Next up was chance Colin (my brother) did it. He rolled 53. Then we went to the largest Greek island called Crete. From there we went on an all expense cruise around the Greek islands. It was lovely. Some other things we did were:
1. Greek cooking lessons.
2. A half an hour sighting tour.

3. Guided Tour of Athens New Acropolis Museum.
4. Watch a Greek dancing show well eating dinner.
5. Went on the Acropolis Walking Tour.

That is all Colin and I did in Athens Greece. Thanks for reading. Oh and also we got 1st place!

Team Losers 1st place!

Hey its Colin Loser and we won! We went to Greece and saw the largest temple "Olympian Zues". We learned what the Greek event, "Pankration" is. The pankration event is a martial art that has two rules; no eye gouging or biting. We watched a video with George Dalaras who was playing his common Greek instrument, which we had to find out, the Bouzouki. We had trouble with the locals because they didn't like us and wouldn't help us, and we had to find the name of the Greek island Crete. Bye.

We placed 2nd! At the beginning me and my sister (Alexis Loser) had to take a immagration test and had to get atleast 70% on it. We fished for the Halibut for the next clue, and had to score a goal in hockey to move on. Our pitstop was the Fairmont Chateau Whistler the number one ranked ski and golf resort in Canada.
